Senior Pet Care

senior petsThe senior years of a pet’s life are the best years.  Today, your pets can live many more years pain-free, and we want to make sure they have everything they need. We HIGHLY recommend examinations twice a year for the remainder of their life.  When we catch aspects of their health earlier, they can live the best life possible.

Our pets’ organs change and progress so much faster than humans, and we want to help and assist their organs to maintain good function.  Diet needs may change, and we are here to help you as the owner to know what is best for your pet.

Is your pet a senior? The smaller your dog or cat, the longer they will likely live. In general, cats and small-to-medium size dogs are considered seniors around the age of seven. Large dogs become seniors around the age of five. Cats 14 years old and older are considered geriatric, as are medium sized dogs at about 12, and large dogs around age 10.
